Dark and Delicious

During the summer we had so many fun programs, and we've decided to spotlight one of our favorites!  This summer The Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum taught our Young Adults how to make art out of....CHOCOLATE! in the program "Dark and Delicious.

Inspired by scrimshaw carvings, our teens made fun designs out of chocolate...that they could take home to eat.  Check out some of the beautiful (and delicious!) creations that were made.

Program Ideas?!

Hey HPL Tweens and Teens!  As the fall is approaching, we are looking forward to starting some fun new programs!  We would love to hear your input.  If you have any ideas for programs, crafts, book clubs, or ideas for our YA room, please blog them today!  Or feel free to stop by the library and share with us.

Over the past year we had many fun programs including our Manga workshop where we watched a Manga movie and made candy sushi.  For more programs like this visit our website http://www.nassaulibrary.org/hillside/ya.htm or visit us at the library!
